| | Mohamood Razack,
the Blast Girls' Club Director is also the head coach of the U23 team, U13, U14, U15,
U16 and U18's, and coordinator of the older age teams (U13-U23). He is a former professional player, born in South
Africa. He has coached boys and girls at both the club and high school levels in
the Columbus area for over ten years. Most recently he led the 83's to their
second consecutive Ohio South State Cup Championship. Many of Mohamood's former
players have become division I college players, with some now taking coaching
positions in the area. Mohamood has served as an assistant coach for Ohio Dominican College's varsity
women's team, and head coach for the Columbus W-League and Y-League teams.
Mohamood's coaching philosophy, which is followed throughout all levels of the
Club, emphasizes basic skills and midfield play. An important point of emphasis
is for players to learn how to read and enjoy the game.
